The Cheyenne Mountain Early Childhood Preschool Program is designed to provide enriching opportunities to meet the needs of 3 to 5 year old children. Our mission is to assist all children and their families in strengthening their child's development. This is done through our preschool curriculum, parent involvement and parent workshops.
We base our program on the Teaching Strategies Gold Curriculum, which supports active learning, development of cognitive skills, literacy, language, math, science, and creative expression. These experiences provide a solid foundation for future academic skills.
Our programs provide an inclusive setting for children ages three to five. This means we include children with special needs in all our classrooms. Through diversity of age, ability, and culture we believe children learn best about the varied members in our society. We value and welcome this diversity in our classroom.
Families are always welcomed in our preschools! Our goal, to enhance the development of the whole child, is grounded in our family-centered approach to service delivery. Communication with families is vital to share successes and concepts that may need further reinforcement at home. Family communication is facilitated through our preschool webpage, monthly newsletters, conferences, parent workshops, and other special events throughout the year.
